Lester James Brandt was raised in the small country town of Amarillo, Texas. His German born father was an ex-marine and truck driver who was very strict with his seven children and ruled with an iron fist. His mother was Honduran born from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Central America. He began acting immediately after graduating high school. Originally had aspirations of being a drummer in a heavy metal band. Ended up getting an acting agent to keep the dream alive. Studied with Adam Roarke at The Film Actors Lab. Les Brandt had national success in the commercial arena both in the English and Spanish markets while in Dallas, Texas. Relocated to study in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and soon after booked a 3 year contract on an American Soap Opera Another World on NBC as Rafael Santierro and has since portrayed numerous characters ranging from comedy to the most dramatic of roles on many network shows. Was in Smoke opposite 'Maria Conchita Alonso' as Martin Rivera. He also owns a custom made exotic skin clothing line, Brandt Skinz, Incorporated since September 2002.
